Big success at the OCC Bluewater Sailing Safety Seminar
Nov 5, 2019 - The Safety Seminar offered by the OCC was conducted by Oliver Solanas Heinrichs and hosted by 8islas in Gran Canaria. ... The Canary Islands are the " HUB " for those sailors preparing to cross the Atlantic, thereby fulfilling the requirements to be full members of the OCC.
Join us for a Q&A with Oliver Solanas Heinrichs, co-author of the Cruising Guide to the Canary Islands. Oliver will talk about exploring the archipelago or using it as a jump-off for transatlantic crossings. He'll be joining us live from the Caribbean!
Oliver is Ocean Cruising Club Port Officer for the Canaries and also runs 8islas, a platform for bluewater sailors that helps Canary Island visitors and organises Viking Explorers (www.vikingexplorersrally.com), a friendly transatlantic rally now into its fourth year.
